Emmet Scully is a Partner in the Byrne Wallace Shields LLP Corporate Team.
Emmet is an experienced corporate lawyer with expertise advising on a variety of M&A and private equity transactions, as well as corporate and private equity structuring.
Emmet’s expertise includes corporate restructuring, private equity and venture capital transactions, venture capital investment structures, M&A transactions, joint ventures, and shareholders' agreements.
Emmet is the co-author of "The Law and Practice of Irish Stamp Duty" and the editor of the annual stamp duty legislative update both of which are published by the Irish Taxation Institute. He regularly provides support to tax advisers and other solicitors on technical stamp duty issues.
Emmet is the former Chairman of the Taxation Administration Liaison Committee Audit Sub-committee and former member of the Taxation Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.
