Richard Curran is a Partner and Head of the Byrne Wallace Shields LLP Corporate Team.
Richard has extensive experience in corporate finance transactions. He practices in the areas of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions and also development finance.
In corporate finance transactions Richard has acted for both buyers and sellers in M&A transactions across all sectors as well as advising in private equity transactions, shareholder arrangements and joint ventures.
In development finance transactions, Richard acts for developers of residential and retail developments as well as in healthcare, student accommodation and renewable energy.
Richard began his career at another leading Dublin firm and earlier in his career worked in London and Berlin with Hammonds, a leading UK law firm (now part of international firm Squire Patton Boggs).
Richard is a Ministerial Nominee to the Company Law Review Group, an expert body established under the Companies Act 2014 to advise the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment on company law.
Richard is a member of the Council of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce.
