Ruairí Mulrean is a Partner in the Byrne Wallace Shields LLP Corporate Team.
Ruairí practises in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and insolvency. Ruairí also practices in the areas of company and commercial law advising both international and domestic clients. In particular he focuses on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and insolvency.
Ruairí advises both domestic and international clients in a wide range of sectors including energy, waste and manufacturing. Ruairí has a particular interest in taxation being a member of the Irish Taxation Institute and has advised on various tax driven group reorganisations and the implementation of other tax driven structures.
Experience
- Acting for One Fifty One plc in relation to the sale of certain of their plastics subsidiaries, Sahara Skies Holdings Limited t/a Enplast and including where relevant the completion of pre-sale re-organizations to achieve a tax-efficient sale.
- Acting for Nurendale Limited t/a Panda in relation to the acquisition of multiple businesses including A1 Waste and Fingal County Council municipal waste collection services.
- Completing numerous corporate group restructurings in a tax efficient manner for clients.
- Making use of QIFs (Qualifying Investment Funds) to restructure the ownership of substantial property portfolios to avail of, among other things, beneficial taxation treatment enjoyed by such QIFs.
- Representing clients in dealing with the Revenue Commissioners in relation to taxation matters and bringing these matters to resolution.
