The Role:

Due to the strong growth experienced in recent years, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Indirect Tax Manager to join our tax team.

This role will involve working with the Head of Indirect Tax and our wider tax team to provide VAT and indirect tax advisory services to a broad range of Irish and international clients.

Candidate Requirements:

  •  A professional tax qualification (AITI/CTA, ACCA, ACA or legal qualification)
  • 4+ years of professional experience working in tax
  • Strong VAT/indirect tax technical knowledge and experience of providing tax advisory services
  • Excellent analytical and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team while managing multiple client relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-starter with ability to use initiative and to prioritise with excellent time management skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning and development

Main responsibilities:

  • Providing VAT and indirect tax advisory services to clients across a range of sectors.
  • Developing and maintaining strong internal and external client relationships.
  • Producing accurate high quality tax advice, delivering to expectations, responding to client demands and delivering to deadlines.
  • Supervision of VAT compliance services, ensuring the efficient and risk managed delivery of compliance.
  • Assisting clients with Revenue interventions, audits, disputes and managing tax risks.
  • Providing advice on other indirect tax issues, including RCT, customs duty, stamp duty and RZLT.
  • Assisting in the preparation of appeals to the Tax Appeals Commission.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff and contributing to their professional development.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in tax legislation and case law that may impact clients.
  • Participating in business development activities and working with Partners to promote the firm's tax expertise and other services to clients and target clients both internally and externally, including proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Contributing to the development of thought leadership and internal training materials.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures including client take-on and billing.
