Tuesday, 20 October 2026

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP is delighted to sponsor French Wind & Solar Energy Days Ireland 2026, taking place in Dublin from 20 to 22 October 2026.

Organised by Business France, the three-day event brings a delegation of French renewable energy companies to Ireland to meet Irish developers, ports, industry bodies and energy companies and explore opportunities in the Irish onshore wind, offshore wind and solar markets. The programme also includes a visit to Renewable Energy Expo Ireland 2026.

The conference brings together representatives from across the Irish and French renewable energy sectors for discussions on Ireland's renewable energy market and future project opportunities.

The programme includes:

  • a market outlook on Ireland's renewable energy sector and project opportunities;
  • a panel discussion on Solar Energy Development in Ireland;
  • a panel discussion on Onshore & Offshore Wind Energy Perspectives;
  • a pitch session from members of the French delegation;
  • dedicated B2B meetings between Irish and French businesses.

Fergal Ruane, Partner and Head of the Projects & Infrastructure team at Byrne Wallace Shields LLP, will moderate the panel discussion on Onshore & Offshore Wind Energy Perspectives.

Commenting on the partnership, Fergal Ruane said: “We are delighted to partner with Business France for French Wind & Solar Energy Days Ireland 2026. Bringing Irish and French developers, ports and energy companies together provides a valuable opportunity to share perspectives, build connections and explore where businesses can work together as Ireland continues to develop its renewable energy sector. I look forward to moderating the discussion on Onshore & Offshore Wind Energy Perspectives and hearing from our panellists about both the opportunities and the practical considerations involved in bringing wind projects forward in the Irish market.”
