Friday, 23 May 2025

Byrne Wallace Shields LLP is delighted to have won the Best Professional Services category in the Funds Industry Climate Challenge 2025.

Now in its third year, the Funds Industry Climate Challenge, organised by the Green Team Network in partnership with Global Action Plan Ireland, aims to inspire and educate staff from participating companies, by highlighting and celebrating the many small steps that everyone can take, in our daily lives, to reduce our carbon footprints.

22 companies entered the challenge with Byrne Wallace Shields LLP retaining the title of highest placed participating law firm for the second year in a row. Green initiatives implemented by the firm during the challenge included reducing printing, improved recycling and waste management, reducing the use of disposable containers and single use plastics, and reduced energy consumption by using more energy efficient devices and switching off items that are not in use.

The Award was presented to Byrne Wallace Shields at this week's Irish Funds Annual Conference. It was accepted on behalf of the firm by Corporate Associate Maebh Ní Ghallchobhair who championed the challenge internally, in conjunction with Mina Dawood, Associate in the Investment Funds and Financial Services Regulation team.
