Byrne Wallace Shields sponsors Dublin International Disputes Week 2026
Tuesday, 20 October 2026
Byrne Wallace Shields LLP is pleased to sponsor Dublin International Disputes Week 2026, taking place in Dublin from 19–23 October.
Established in 2019, Dublin International Disputes Week is an annual international conference bringing together leading voices from the Irish and international legal community to explore key issues in cross-border dispute resolution. The programme provides a forum for discussion and collaboration on international best practice, while highlighting Ireland's expertise in litigation, arbitration, mediation and regulatory enforcement.
The event is organised by Ireland for Law, the Irish Government initiative promoting Ireland as a leading global centre for international legal services.
As part of this year's programme, members of the Byrne Wallace Shields Litigation team are contributing to discussions on topical issues in dispute resolution.
Mona Costelloe, Partner, is speaking at The Green, Green Seat of Home: Making Ireland the Natural Choice for Renewable Energy ADR. The DIDW partner event considers Ireland's role in renewable energy dispute resolution and ADR and is organised by the ADR Committee and Climate Bar Association at the Bar of Ireland. Mona joins Seámus Clarke SC and Donnchadh Woulfe BL on the panel, moderated by Cian P Kelly BL.
Muireann Granville, Partner, is also contributing to the DIDW programme, taking part in a panel discussion on so-called "midnight clauses". The discussion explores dispute resolution and choice-of-law provisions in commercial contracts and the importance of moving away from last-minute, boilerplate provisions towards a more considered and tailored approach to dispute resolution clauses.
Byrne Wallace Shields is proud to support Dublin International Disputes Week and the opportunity it provides for the Irish and international disputes community to share expertise, exchange perspectives and contribute to the continued development of Ireland as a centre for international dispute resolution.
